k.. it's supposedly the pioneer comm for psychology society but i say that it is an in between comm cos it is only from next month till august.. the shortest comm ever in history of ...erm.. watever..
think it sounds nice.. no need to go thru nomination, voting, interview.. it is short term.. have known the rest of the ppl in the comm for quite long.. looks nice on resume.. good deal i think.
till i went home and was poured freezing cold water.
think my father is the most pessimisstic guy in the whole wide world and he doesn't believe in anyone except himself.. to him, everyone is only doing things that would benefit themselves and never to the benefit of others.. haha, if he got alittle more worse than now, i would have without a doubt, classify him according to DSM 4 as a paranoid schizophrenic patient.
ok.. summarize wat he said when i told him i'm planning to join psy comm..
1. why do you want to do that?
2. it is a waste of time
3. u really think that wat ppl say about the benefits are true? schizo..
4. doing this will not help ur resume he firmly believes that it won't be of help..
5. the working world is not as simple as u think
6. they will not care about wat u did for cca
7. it is not impt
8. if it is like wat u have said, then last time i was an officer in army but how come for so many yrs i was not promoted? erm.. i really think that he was not promoted cos of other reasons..
9. anyway, i think it will affect ur studies
10. do you think that u can cope? he have no faith in me.. and it has always been this way
11. the most impt thing now is to get the best possible grade so that u get a better job. well, only 2 kinds of grades for me.. B.A.pass or B.A.merit.. which i truly do not think it matters alot.
sigh.. i am only disheartened by the fact that they don't trust me. never a praise, never an encouragement.
he almost did the same thing when i told him i am treasurer for foc... the first thing he told me was 'u must be very careful of the money otherwise u'll be in alot of trouble when things go wrong.'
so how can they qn me on where my loyalty lies when they are so negative that i feel like running far away.. and inevitably, towards more positive ppl who are coincidentally my friends..

Hmmm...i guess maybe he was trying to make sure u are aware of stuff like money issues,grades more impt etc. It is out of concern that he say all these bah..Dun think too much tho...i think u will do a great job. Maybe cuz he haven seen u in action, hence got really worried for u. Just that he dunno how to express tt properly?
well, that's wat me and my ma think.. but he always think that it is us that bu hu jiang hua.
yeah.. i tink he's jus worried ba.. my dad used to say tt abt me when i was doing student council back in sec4.. its usually cuz they scared u cannot cope n u'll get hurt in the process.. but somehow thru it all they'll come up and support ya.. heh heh!
