why do ppl get envious?

i don't understand why ppl like to compare b/w each other... it's... flawed... it's like comparing apple to orange... unless u can find someone with the exact same everything except what you want to compare...

moreover, comparing with each other only result in feeling of inferiority or superiority... which.... doesn't do much to aid the person unless one is interested to better oneself to be more superior or stay superior...

the best part is... it is so pointless becos there is always someone better and someone worse.. so it is really not a very good indicator of how good or how much better you are.. and also most of the time it's just a matter of perception.. so u might think u are worse compared to that person but the person might actually be worse off than u...

so why compare and be envious of wat u perceive others to have and wat u perceived to lack?

envy is a pointless exercise...


some random observation... ppl tend to stick to those they envy and remain upset that they are lacking... i guess ppl still want to be near the sun even though they think they can't shine.. but the closer they get the easier they get scalded.. zi4 zuo4 zi4 shou4 ah~~~~...
