finally went to explore more of the park connector.. and reached bukit batok nature park.. it has a nice little lake like thing, pond maybe, with cliff like stuff.. hmm.. my vocab for nature is very limited.. anyway... it's very refreshing to be there... did a little exploring.. got a little lost but managed to find my way back home.. being around nature always have a calming effect on me.. remind me to live in a place near water and lots of trees and shade..
i thot at 4pm i would not see much ppl at a park but was surprised to find quite alot of ppl there.. oh.. i must talk about how i found the park... i was on the park connector trail but when it led me from jurong to bukit batok, the trail suddenly disappeared... trying to find the way to the park with a vague memory of a map i saw halfway on my journey was not an easy thing to do.. luckily... i spotted this guy in a green color jp morgan tshirt and shorts with a towel and ipod.. it equates to 'i am gg to a park dressing'... so.... i stalked him! wahahhaa... and was trying to be discrete about it.. he turned his head around a couple of times as if wondering wat the hell is a girl following so slowly behind him when she looked like she was already halfway thru with her 'walk'..
anyway.. my hunches were correct.. he led me to the park.. and i quickly dumped him at the entrance to explore the park... after living 23 yrs in the west i am ashamed to say that i have never set foot in any park in the west.. so.. yup.. virgin trip there.. quite fun except i finally realise that 5yrs of not exercising has really caught up to me.. i was out of breath climbing up a slope.. omg.. so gross... must exercise more often..
walking long distances always gets me thinking.. well.. today the ppl i met in the park caught my attention... little did i know that the guy in green tee would be the only guy i saw that could fall into the i am in my 20s category.. everyone else was at least 35 and above.. there were young teen girls jogging... kids with their parents... but nobody was in their 20s.. well.. maybe one or two of the teen girls could be a 20 something.. but i am quite sure no guys in their 20s were there.. unless they all have a belly with balding head or they look under age.. alot of old couples were having their afternoon walks... it was sweet... but most of them were angmo couples.. alot of chinese men in their 50s... angmo guys in their 50s are damn cool lar.. they have bodies like 30 something.. after staring at the many ppl i've passed on my walk today.. i'm still very puzzled by the fact that i cannot find ppl in their 20s anywhere in the park.. especially guys... where did they all go?
i stopped observing ppl after i came out of the park and concentrated on getting my ass back home cos my legs seem to have turned into jelly after all the steps and slopes i've climbed.. i managed not to die on the streets of hunger and tiredness... and reached home at 6pm... didn't know i had walked for 2hrs... missed the early dinner that my family planned to have and jump straight into lou hei as my bro need to be back in camp by 7pm..
ok... i'm babbling.. it's getting a little boring and dry liao.. shall stop..
